How to Clean a Stainless Steel Dog Wash Station Without Damaging the Finish

A grooming tub should be easy to clean, but stainless steel, seals, drains and textured surfaces all need routine attention.

After every bath

• Rinse shampoo residue.
• Remove visible hair.
• Rinse sprayer and board.
• Dry the entry.
• Wipe the surrounding floor.

Weekly

Use a mild cleaner compatible with the manufacturer’s finish and a non-scratching cloth or sponge.

Monthly

Inspect faucet connections, hoses, drain fittings, latches, hinges, seals, leveling feet and storage hardware.

Stainless care

Stainless is corrosion-resistant, not immune to every chemical. Avoid harsh abrasives unless the manufacturer specifically allows them.

Drain and hair trap

Empty hair before flow slows. If drainage changes suddenly, stop and investigate before adding more water.
